How to Use the AI Flow Builder

The AI Flow Builder lets you describe a workflow in plain English and have BizFlow generate the canvas for you. Available on the Pro plan.

Generating a new workflow

  1. Go to Flows → New Flow
  2. On the canvas, click the AI (Sparkles) button in the toolbar
  3. Select Generate new workflow
  4. Type a description — for example: "A leave request flow where the employee submits dates and reason, the manager approves, and HR logs it"
  5. Click Generate — BizFlow creates a full canvas with steps, fields, and assignee rules
  6. Review and adjust, then publish when ready

Modifying an existing workflow

  1. On a canvas that already has nodes, click the AI button
  2. Select Modify existing
  3. Describe the change — "Add a Finance approval step after the manager step"
  4. Click Generate — your canvas is updated

Tips for better results

  • Mention roles explicitly: "assigned to the requester's manager"
  • Describe form fields needed: "fields for start date, end date, and reason"
  • Keep descriptions to 1–3 sentences

Enabling AI

AI must be enabled by your admin in Settings → AI.
